Tour itinerary:
Pick up at your hotel in Cairo / Giza & transfer to enjoy a tour to the second capital of Egypt, the beautiful Alexandria. Visit to the Fortress of Kaitbay, built in the fifteenth century by Sultan Kaitbay on the ancient Alexandrian style.

Continue visiting the impressive Catacombs of Kom el-Shuqafa, an enormous complex of underground burial chambers, was built by the Romans in the second century A.D.

Your next stop will be Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the new library of Alexandria, opened in October 2002. Its aim is to revive the legendary spirit of the ancient library built by the Greeks in around 300 BC and destroyed by an earthquake in 415 C.E, and to restore Alexandria to its former status as a center for learning and scholarship.

Visit to the pillar of Pompey, actually a pink granite column with an ornamental capital, which was erected in honor of Diocletian (302 AD). It marks the ancient site of the Serapeum, built by the Ptolemies. 

Lunch will be serving during the tour at local restaurant. Transfer back to your hotel in Cairo. End of our services.
